I have the time and knowledge to help individuals, families and history related businesses (archives, libraries, museums) in southern New England (thus far) organize and preserve their archives, personal papers, as well as conduct historical research for personal or business reasons.
I am a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Masters in Library and Information Studies (2011) and Masters in History (2013). I have over 10 years experience working with archival material at the Rhode Island Historical Society. I have worked on arrangement and description projects for the Rhode Island Historical Society Library, Providence Public Library, Providence City Archives, and the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame. I also have experience researching family and personal histories for the above locations. I have strong writing skills developed as a history major and successfully wrote a mini grant for a RI Council of the Humanities project.
I can research your family history, business, or other historical topics. I can also help you assess your collection needs and preserve your family or business history to treasure it for all time. Check out my portfolio for links to previous projects.
I will work quickly and efficiently to offer my clients what they need while respecting and caring for the original documents.
I follow the guidelines and ethics set up by the Society of American Archivists and will never share client information without consent. Learn more about my philosophy, view my resume and sample projects at http://robinalario.weebly.com/
My purpose is to help people treasure their history and keep it safe for the future.
